And … that's it? I am afraid, that's all about the summer. Of cause the word of the year in the Baltic States is “Krize” (and at least 3 x a day).
For the amount of cyclists it does not seem to make a big influence – just for it's combination. If we had before more Germans, there are now Swiss, Canadians, Belgians (and from time to time even from Peru...)
So, here are the news for the summer farewell: daily around 20 degrees, at night already droping below 10 (brrr...)
Some pictures for you: the bicycle demonstration “Critical Mass” in Vilnius met about 800 cyclist on August, 28

And let me tell you, that soon, very soon the BaltiCCycle will strike a mayor change...

Since the first of September there is no regular boat connection via the Curonian lagoon. You'll hve to look for a boat on you own.
What will be next year we will see...

and …. The representation of the European Commission in Lithuania looks whether there a changes in the mobility behaviour in Lithuania during the “crisis” (bad, bad word).
38% of surveyed still are doing short trips by car, ca. 1/3 walks by foot (most of them non-car drivers or older than 55 years). The pubilc transport [which prices were risen recently] or the bicycle are first choice for only a minority of 17 %.
